Chapter 1
Basically the writers of Jane the Virgin are geniuses. They lay little Easter eggs for us and, as we all know, they can play the long game with some of these clues. I wanted to point out a few obvious clues in the pilot and also some that probably aren’t clues but I’m noting them anyway just in case. Season 5 isn’t out yet, and some of these things may come into play. But first... There are all sorts of spoilers here, so only read this if you've seen Jane the Virgin through the end of Season 4. ------ “Our story begins with a Prologue…” The show opens on a close up of a white flower. Ten year old Jane holds a white gardenia flower in her hand. Jennie Urman Snyder (showrunner) keeps saying that the series will be a full circle, so maybe the series opens on a white flower and will close on one as well.
